Gas explosion destroys Billings home

No one was injured in an explosion this morning that destroyed a home at 1411 Granite and spread flames and debris throughout the neighborhood.

The gas explosion destroyed the Billings home of Gary Woltermann, the mayor of Columbus, about 10:32 a.m. Wednesday.

Support Montana Firefighters Plate

The Support Montana Firefighter’s plate is open to anyone! There are no special forms or authorizations needed to purchase the plate. Funds derived from the sale of the plate will go to help MONTANA FIREFIGHTERS. These funds are for Montana’s firefighters and will remain in Montana to help support our firefighters through things like Montana Mutual Aid, training, scholarships, etc. (more…)

East Helena Residence Destroyed

A fire destroyed a residence, unattached garage and truck in East Helena on the night of Monday, July 12th. A resident at 4180 Downey Court was working on his truck’s fuel pump when the blaze erupted, according to Sgt. Will Kussman with the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff’s Office. The exact cause of the fire is under investigation.
