Memorial Fund Established in the Name of Gas Serviceman Jim Hilton

Kalispell, Mont. – May 11, 2010  The family of NorthWestern Energy gas serviceman Jim Hilton announced the creation of a memorial fund in his name through Energy Share of Montana that will help gas customers in the Flathead Valley who are struggling to pay their heating bills.

“Jim loved his job, but hated having to shut off customers because they couldn’t pay their bill” said his wife Shirley. “Through this fund, we take comfort knowing that he will be helping
those customers that he wanted to help.”

Contributions to the Jim Hilton Memorial Fund c/o Energy Share of Montana are tax deductible and the first $5,000 in donations to the fund will be matched dollar for dollar by Energy Share of Montana and NorthWestern Energy. So, for every dollar donated, three will be available to help customers in the Flathead Valley facing energy emergencies.

“Jim was committed to safety and to his customers. His family asks that we remember Jim by giving a hand to customers who, despite their best efforts, are unable to pay their heating bills,” said Bob Rowe, President and CEO. “That is a great way to remember Jim, and an especially thoughtful suggestion by Jim’s wife and family.”
